It is important to practice the math to become able to understand the physical equations. But it is also important to get a sense of what is behind these equations. I think that both practicing and reflection "with the hands" with simple examples is a good way to teach and learn.
The objectivist view of knowledge (i.e. there is a body of knowledge that the students need to get) has to be achieved by practicing the fundamental theorems and the exercises. Associated with problem-based learning (i.e. think on how to solve a problem) and discussions, a more deep knowledge is the final goal of my methodology.
Hej, Romain heter jag. Jag pratar bara lite svenska så jag ska skriver i engelska.
I am a French PhD student in Physical Oceanography at the University of Gothenburg.
I have a Bachelor in Physics and a Master in Geophysics from the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS de Lyon) in France. I have thus a solid background in Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science.
I have been a climbing teacher for many years, and also have experience in teaching Physics at the University.
For groups, I will have decreasing prices with the number of students:
1 student => 400 SEK/h
2 students => 700SEK/h
3 students => 900SEK/h
4 and more students => 1100SEK/h
Master’s degree in geophysics, École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, France.
Bachelor’s degree in fundamental physics, École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, France.
Assistant teacher in Physical Oceanography (Master) in 2018 and 2019
1 year block release training woodworking / cabinet making certificate of professional competence (French CAP de menuiserie), Fédération compagnonique des métiers du bâtiment.

Romain was a good teacher for me. I had him during a whole course semester.
Romain and I were students in the same university in France. I have to admit that he often explained complex notion of physics to me when I have not understood the course. He is very kind, patient and loves to pass on his passions, as a thorough scientist.
I strongly recommand him as a super-prof : he will always find a way to help you and identify your strenghs so you could build confidence.
He has a solid background in Science and he knows how to explain complicated formula with simple words!
