Om Mauro
Mauro Susa is an 50 years old italian guitarist and arranger known for having played (and arranged) with some of the most famous Italian Pop singers (Raf, Gigi D'Alessio Marco Masini, Alexia, Mario Lavezzi ...) and recorded with some of the most famous Italian session players
(Alfredo Golino, Lorenzo Poli, Giulia Fasolino, Pancho Ragonese, Betty Vittori, Elio Rivagli...)
and played live with some international masters of the jazz world (Alfredo Golino, Sandro Gibellini, Antonio Faraò, Bruno Marini ...).
He is also known as a teacher in one of the most important private music schools in Italy (Cambiomusica Soundland in Brescia).
In the recording studio Mauro Susa not only worked as an instrumentalist but also as an arranger and programmer
with a high knowledge of Pro Tools, Audition, Maschine, Melodyne, Reaper.
He was also "sound engineer" of the Cambiomusica Soundland studio (Protools HD) from 2018 to 2019 where he recorded (shots and mixes) over 150 songs.
SOME ARTISTIC TITLES
- 2020 and 2021: teaches music and guitar for two schools in Stockholm.
-SEPTEMBER 2019 Mauro Susa participated in the public competition for the position of university teacher at the Brescia Conservatory with over 100 candidates from all over Italy, ranking second.
- From MAY 2019 to now Incision, together with Alfredo Golino on drums and Lorenzo Poli on bass (Top italians session men), of the guitars for the debut album of the singer Chiara Marzaroli.
Mauro Susa was also the arranger of all the songs, the author of two songs and sound engineer of the drum and bass takes.
- JULY 2019 Performance of "Nessun Dorma" for electric guitar for the conclusion of the inauguration ceremony of the 2019 World Shooting Championships (in Lonato, Italy)

EDUCATION
Mauro Susa (17/7/73), relative of the well-known jazz guitarist Piero Pollone (1937-2011), began playing the guitar at the age of 12
with M ° Camillo Cinelli with whom he completed the study of methods for Jazz Guitar Abner Rossi I and II.
He continued for a short period as a self-taught person (approaching Pop and Rock) and at 16 he began attending the Brescia Music Studio (STUDIO MUSICA)
of Maestro Giovanna Sorbi and Maestro Giuseppe Rusconi and with the latter he studied the guitar, notions of piano, Trumpet ( 2 years)
but above all the pop and jazz harmony for about 10 years (period 1989/1999).
During the same period ('89 -'96) he attended the concerts, and some seminars/meetings (with Joe Pass, Jon Faddis, John Pizzarelli,
Enrico Rava) of Umbria Jazz.
In the first years of study he combines the study of the guitar (main instrument) with that of the electric bass
(with which in the future he will also record for some projects in the studio and will play live), drums, and keyboards
(keyboardist for a tribute to Pink Floyd in the first '90).
TEACHING
He will begin teaching at the age of 22 ('95 -'98) for the Cooperative "La Nuvola nel Sacco" for which he will teach
in a collective guitar course for beginners (San Polo, Brescia) and later guitar and ensemble music (Dello, Brescia).
From 2001 to 2005 he taught electric guitar for the school of the All'Unisono Music Association of Lumezzane (Brescia).
From 2009 to 2019 he teaches electric, classical, acoustic guitar and ensemble music for the school of the Casnici Music Association of Carpenedolo (Brescia).
From 2013 to 2019 he teaches electric guitar and ensemble music at Cambiomusica Soundland (Brescia)
of Alfredo Golino and Giulia Fasolino, a period in which he also gives life to seminars and masters.
COLLATERAL MUSICAL ACTIVITIES
Mauro Susa combined live music, study and teaching with a very rich (!) activity as a composer for advertising from 1996 to 2014:
over 500 jingles for the advertising companies M.P.S. di Brescia, Publiviva and Publiradio di Gavardo (Brescia).
(Portfolio spot: Unieuro, BMW Italy, Marco Polo Expert, Amica Chips, Mondo Convenienza and hundreds of other local and national companies);
he was also (with M.P.S.) music programmer for the internal radio of Ikea, Family Market and other chains,
worked at Radio Viva FM as an employee and at Music Gel (Media Records, one of the most world famous dance music label).
