Om Simin
Hello! My name is Simin, and I am a certified English and Art teacher with a Master’s degree in English from the University of Gävle, Sweden. I have over 20 years of experience as a teacher, and now I focus on helping adults explore art and improve their English.
Although my professional background is primarily in English teaching, I also hold certification in Art/Science of Art and have a lifelong passion for art history. I have traveled widely to explore art and culture first-hand, visiting cities such as Rome, Florence, Vienna, Paris, Cairo, Barcelona, Florida, Athens, and Crete, among others. Along the way, I have admired not only world-class museum collections but also remarkable churches, cathedrals, and architectural landmarks that reflect the richness of human creativity.
What inspires me most is sharing the stories behind art—why it was created, what it meant in its time, and how we can connect with it today. My goal is to make art history accessible, engaging, and enjoyable, while giving you the chance to practice English naturally in conversation.

About the Lesson
Each lesson is built around exploring art in a clear and engaging way. We begin with a selected artwork, movement, or architectural piece and look at its visual features, cultural context, and historical background. You will learn how to observe details, interpret meaning, and express your ideas in English with confidence.
The focus is always on art, while English develops naturally through guided conversation, questions, and vocabulary connected to the artwork. Lessons are adapted to your interests—whether you want to study European Art, Persian/Islamic Art, architecture, or thematic topics such as Women in Art. The pace is comfortable, reflective, and designed for adult learners who enjoy culture and meaningful discussion.
