Om Wendel
Oi, tudo bem? My name's Wendel, I've been born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I hold a postgraduate university degree from UNISUAM.
I have taught languages for more than two years, small groups and individuals alike. From children to adults.
I have worked as an English-Portuguese interpreter at major International events.
I go by the conviction: language confidence is key! We'll have fun in class, learn from each other, and thus, increase the level as you feel comfortable.
When I'm not teaching, I cook and bake. So, food and recipes will most likely be one topic of our conversations. What are you passionate about? :-)

We get you ready for your conversations on the Brazilian markets, restaurant orders in Portuguese, and hang-outs with friends from Portuguese speaking countries!
I design the classes to your individual needs. That includes multimedia material, learning the language through famous Brazilian songs, artists, and stories.
Brazilians are laid back and appreciate when visitors take the extra mile to learn Portuguese.I create an environment where you feel comfortable to speak, experiment, and be creative with the language. Based on your interests and needs, we will study the vocabulary you need.
Portuguese grammar is complex. So, we take it as we go, step by step. Confidence is key!
In the lesson (60 mins), we'll converse a lot and get you used to accent and pronounciation. We make it fun so you stay motivated until we meet next.
I teach the very beginner, the Brazil enthusiast, and everyone in between who wants to uphold and improve their language skills.
