I am a dedicated Korean tutor who believes that every student deserves a learning experience tailored to their needs, pace and interests. My approach is grounded in clarity, structure, and encouragement. I guide students step by step through new concepts while creating a space where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and expressing themselves freely.

I have been studying languages for many years, including Korean, so I understand firsthand the challenges that come with starting something new. This allows me to support students with empathy, practical strategies, and consistent motivation. I enjoy integrating culture, media, and students' personal interests into the learning process, making each lesson both meaningful and memorable.

My teaching approach
I teach Korean in a structured yet engaging way. Each lesson begins with clear explanations of the concepts at hand followed by active student participation through guided practice and open questions. When time allows, we finish with something the student personally enjoys - such as song lyrics, short videos, or phrases used by their favorite artists. I often incorporate students' interests into the learning process, using examples from the content they love so the material becomes more memorable and meaningful.
I always adapt the pace and focus to each learner's needs. I believe language learning works best when it feels enjoyable and achievable, so I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable being themselves, free from judgement.
How I share my knowledge
I use a blend of methods to make Korean accessible and intuitive:
Context-based learning through dialogues, real-life examples, and practical vocabulary
Clear grammar breakdowns that are simple, logical and easy to remember
Pronunciation guidance with attention to mouth shape, airflow, and sound production; for absolute beginners, lessons focus heavily on pronunciation
Active practice through speaking, listening and short writing tasks
Personalized materials tailored to your goals - travel, conversation, exams, K-culture and more
My background in scientific research has shaped my teaching style: I am methodical, patient, and skilled at explaining complex ideas in a clear way.
A typical lesson
A standard lesson usually includes:
Warm-up: quick review of the previous session's concepts
Teaching new concepts: vocabulary, grammar
Practice: reading, speaking, comprehension tasks
Wrap-up: summary and a small homework task
Lessons are flexible - if you prefer conversation-focused, structured grammar lessons, or exam preparation, I adjust accordingly.
