Om Suzy
I was born in France and I'm 21 years old.
I studied literature when I was in high school, and I got my diploma.
After high school, I decided to go to psychology university. I really enjoyed the educated subjects but the educational approach of the university was not for me. However, I kept certain notions that I could see in class.
So I turned the following year to a voluntary community work, in a specialized establishment for children and adolescents with mental disabilities. I learned a lot of methods there (like the makaton), and I was also able, for example, to take part in speech therapy courses.
I created a relationship of trust between the children and adolescents and me. I fed my knowledge about mental disabilities, and about the different approaches to build a relationship with a disabled audience, as well as pedagogical techniques.
So I naturally turned to the technique of learning through playful activities adapted to each need.
I was finally able to experience working individually as well as in groups with children and teenagers.
The director then offered me a position in this establishment for the month of July as an additional help.
I finally turned to social pedagog studies, because I have been immersed in this universe within my family since I was a child. I had a certain respect for the values of this profession, and I wanted to learn more.
I went to a training school that offered internships. So I did my first internship in an educational farm welcoming adults with mental disabilities with associated disorders.
I was able to teach them in a different way the tasks of daily life through animals, and their maintenance. I was also able to learn a new form of therapy.
I moved to Stockholm because my fiancée lives there, and because I wanted to work here, to discover the social model of Sweden.
I apply for this job because I like to learn from others, while also teaching them. I like being close to children and teenagers, and developing their knowledge in a fun and educational way.
I like being able to adapt my work to the person I am with and meet their needs and desires in a fun and educational way.
Finally, teaching my mother tongue to children at primary school level would allow me to use my creativity while transmitting my knowledge.

I am a young girl experienced with children and adolescents with special needs.
In 2018, I made a volunteer community work for 9 months during which I was able to work as a team to find methods and activities suitable for children and adolescents with mental disabilities (autism, trisomy,...). This experience took place in France.
Currently residing in Stockholm, I work as a substitute in a French/English and Swedish kindergarten. I make sure to develop the French language and vocabulary of the different groups in which I am. I have worked for the moment with children aged 1 to 5 and 7 to 9 years old.
I also take care of doing manual activities with them, while explaining the instructions in French.
Finally, I do homeworks help in French for children aged 10 and 11 years old.
Therefore, due to my various experiences with children, I am able to work with a group, individually, or with a smaller group.
My teaching method is simple: I adapt to the needs and desires of children above all. I like to find alternatives and ways for them to learn French by doing activities they like to do, or by proposing creative activities.
I like to innovate and always find more ideas to be able to teach my mother tongue in a fun way.
