Om Roberta

I don’t just teach mathematics; I teach students how to master it.
I have developed an intuitive ability to understand exactly where a student’s understanding breaks down.

Every student learns differently. My strength lies in my flexibility: if one explanation doesn't click, I have ten other ways to present the same concept. My students often tell me they 'finally get it' after years of confusion.

I don't believe in just handing out solutions. Instead, I reason with my students. I spot errors in real-time and guide them to find the correction themselves. This active process is what builds the 80-100% score consistency my students achieve in IGCSE and diploma exams.

The 'Safety Net': Schemas and Methods
For everything that is hard to solve or easy to forget, I provide clear schemas and reliable procedures. I give my students a 'mental toolkit'—structured steps to follow when they feel stuck or when exam pressure kicks in.

My job is to find what works for each person.

I've learned over 30 years that students often struggle with math not because they lack ability, but because the explanation hasn't clicked yet.

In our sessions, we work on:
- Breaking down hard topics:
I take subjects like Calculus, Trigonometry, and Statistics and show you the actual logic underneath, not just formulas to memorize.
- Exam strategy:
There's a real difference between knowing math and passing an IGCSE or IB paper. I teach you how examiners mark, which questions tend to be tricky, and how to structure answers for full marks.
- Building your problem-solving toolkit:
Instead of just giving you the answer, I show you how to approach problems you've never seen before.
- Keeping it real:
Lessons are straightforward and practical. No fluff, just working through what you need to understand.
- Who this is for:
I specialize in supporting students through the Cambridge IGCSE 0580, AS/A-Level 0979 exams.
Whether you are aiming to pass or pushing for a top-tier score, we will focus on the specific requirements of your program.

Format & Duration:
Lessons typically last between 50 and 90 minutes, depending on the complexity of the topic and your specific needs. I find this flexibility helps us tackle a difficult concept without rushing, or keep a session short and sharp when needed.
