Om Hans
I am currently studying Embedded Electronic System Design at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. I have been playing the piano for 14 years and have achieved ABRSM Piano Grade 8.
As both an engineering student and a long-time pianist, I enjoy approaching learning in a structured and patient way. I understand from my own experience that progress at the piano depends not only on the weekly lesson, but also on how effectively a student practises in between. This is why I would like to support children and beginners who may need extra guidance and encouragement at home.
I am patient, responsible and easy to communicate with. I can work with students in English or Mandarin Chinese, and I aim to create a calm and supportive environment where they can build confidence, curiosity and independence at the piano.

My sessions are designed to help children and beginners practise more effectively between their regular piano lessons. I focus on turning weekly assignments into clear and manageable practice steps, including rhythm, fingering, sight-reading, technique, metronome practice and difficult passages.
I adapt each session to the student’s age, level and current repertoire. For younger students, I keep practice structured but relaxed, using short focused tasks and regular encouragement. Sessions are usually 45–60 minutes and take place at the student’s home in Gothenburg.
Beyond completing weekly assignments, I also hope to broaden students’ musical horizons by helping them notice musical patterns, understand how a piece is structured and explore different ways of interpreting music. My goal is not to replace the student’s regular piano teacher, but to help them build better practice habits, stay motivated and become more independent at the piano.I can work with students in English or Mandarin Chinese.
