Om Daniël
My name is Daniël, 30 years old, and I am originally from the Netherlands. I moved to Sweden at the end of 2019 to study and to enjoy the beautiful nature!
In my years of working with people I found that I am often discribed as positive, having a lot of energy, and working with a very open, non-judgemental approach. This kind of approach has allowed me to adapt my methods to suit each prson's individual needs, such as difficulty concentrating, social anxiety or performance anxiety.
I of course speak Dutch, though most of my lessons are done in English. I do speak and understand a fair bit of Swedish, but I am still learning!

I specialise in helping students who have anxious feelings, or have difficulty concentrating. This can for example mean social anxiety, performance anxiety or ADHD. However, that is not a requirement! The study skills I help with are a benefit for any student!
In our lessons we will work on gaining important study skills such as planning, time management and setting achievable goals! Of course these skills will then be put into practice to efficiently do your homework or study for your exams. The lessons usually take between 1.5 and 2 hours.
My lessons are best suited for students in secondary school (approx. 11 years and older).
I have a master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Leiden, in the Netherlands. I also have master's degree in Education from Stockholm's University. Additionally I have approximately 4 years of experience working as a therapist in the Netherlands, specialising in anxiety-related issues. For the last year I have been working as a learning assistant for children with individual needs.
(It should be noted that, while I have experience as a therapist, this offering is not a form of therapy.)

I learned a lot from the lessons! In the beginning the lessons were more structured with specific tasks and techniques. In later lessons I found which which work for me so i got used those more and more. It helped me to be better at learning as a whole!
