Om Rima
I have been a university teacher in English language, literature, and civilization for 6 years within which I used different teaching methodologies to achieve the best results with students from different levels. My experience allows me to make personalized learning plans in an efficient way that are proven to help students improve their linguistic skills and achieve predefined learning goals.
I have a Master's Degree in English Language, Literature, and Civilization as well as two teaching certificates: the Ecole Normale Superieure Certificate and the Aggregation Certificate in English Language, Literature, and Civilization. During the pandemic, I taught online and hence acquired a significant experience in that form of teaching.
I am very passionate about teaching and believe in the noble role we play as we share knowledge with others and help them achieve their goals.

The teaching methods used during the courses vary according to the student’s level and goals. Indeed, every student receives a personalized learning plan which corresponds to his/her needs and aims as well as written feedback after every session. All teaching is carried out online via Zoom or Google Meet, with all necessary teaching materials (texts, worksheets, articles, course summaries, etc.) provided to the students. The lessons’ duration ranges from 25 minutes to one hour.
The course can take the form of a traditional lesson, including reading material, vocabulary acquisition, and grammar points, and culminates with speaking or writing exercises. The different sessions are connected as we recycle the previously acquired linguistic skills and build the new lesson upon them. This form suits both beginners as well as more advanced students who wish to have perfect mastery over all aspects of the English language.
The course can also take the form of a conversational class, which is addressed to those students who want to learn English through practice. Students who need to improve their conversational skills using English, broaden their vocabulary within a certain field (business, science, humanities, or everyday-life discussions), and become more fluent can find this course very helpful. The teacher prompts students to express themselves, teaches new vocabulary, corrects grammar and pronunciation, and works on students’ conversational skills.
Teaching English literature is based on the aims established with the student at the beginning of the course. They can choose to study a whole literary movement or focus on a certain writer or book. They can also decide to learn critical literary theories. We will work on literary texts and learn different techniques to analyse texts. Students will learn to make written and oral analyses related to different literary themes.
