Om Avery
Hey there, I am Avery!
I come from a small city in South-East Asia called Singapore! At home, English is the official working language of my country and therefore, it is my native language!
With my strong command of the language, I pursued and graduated with Honours (Distinction) from the National University of Singapore (the top university in Asia) with a major in Political Science.
Using the English language to communicate is my passion, and I cannot wait to empower others to do the same!
I have been a freelance English tutor for students aged between 11-18 since 2019 and many of them begin to show improvements within a few weeks of lessons. That can be you too!

I have experience in tutoring young children under 12 years old, as well as teenagers up to 18 years old. Lessons can be customised to fit the attention span and learning needs of the student, anything between 1 and 2 hours. Breaks will be included strategically.
My philosophy is that practice makes perfect, and the perfect way to practise is to use the language in fun, interesting and relevant ways! This means I use a range of materials, beyond exercise books, from daily life such as newspapers and news articles, videos (subtitles), or even story or comic books!
My priority is ensuring that the student feels empowered to learn and do their very best!
