Om Johstim
Hej! My name is Johstim Russi, I am a student of Swedish language, 23 years old. As part-time job I'd like to offer my skills as a native Spanish speaker and experience in languages learning to those who wish to acquire such a language. I recently moved to Sweden and now I am in Gotland because of my sambo, I am really friendly and patient, I understand the struggles in learning a new language that is why I figured out great methods which would be helpful for many people, I am looking forward to share them with you.

Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling, also known as TPRS was created by Blaine Ray, a Spanish teacher, in the late 1980s. It is a language teaching method based on the idea that the brain needs enormous amounts of Comprehensible Input (CI) to acquire a new language. It focuses on using interactive books and oral stories that contain the most commonly-used words and phrases in Spanish, German, or other foreign languages to help students get familiar with a new language easily and quickly.
With TPRS, I as a teacher promote language proficiency among students through contextualized, repetitive, and compelling CI, which can be in the form of children’s novels and interactive materials.
WHAT DOES A TPRS CLASS “LOOK” LIKE?
The teacher starts with the outline of a story and asks the class large numbers of questions that a) ensure that the class understands the language and b) add personalized, interesting, and comprehensible details to the story.
