Om Norbert
Hello! My name is Norbert, a fervent student of Mandarin. Throughout the last five to six years I have had the chance to be constantly exposed to the Chinese language by studying it on an academic level, as well as by teaching the language at an academic level. Engaging with Mandarin has always brought me much pleasure and excitement, something I wish to share with other people by teaching it to, well, perhaps you! At the moment I will continue to be a student of the language myself on Master level in Stockholm, thus whilst tutoring I will be able to share my experiences and new insights with you.
I am looking forward to meeting you and sharing my knowledge with you in the format of structurized lessons, which will of course be adjusted to the level you already have. The same way I taught Chinese at Leiden University last year :). Interested in my services? Let me know and I'll see you soon!

My lessons consist of three parts: introduction, repetition, and application. First I will introduce a certain topic, might it be grammar, vocabulary, pronounciation etc. Next, perhaps with the usage of some small homework assignments, we will focus on repeating the material. Finally I will create exercises with a game-element in order to apply and test the material we discussed.
What sets me apart is my academic background through which I know what the focus of a Chinese lesson plan looks like, and because of which I have a deep understanding of the mechanics behind the pronounciation, grammar rules, and tips and tricks on how to best study Chinese. Besides this I have some classroom experience since I taught Chinese for 1 semester at Bachelor/Undergraduate level at Leiden University.
My lessons are for people who are currently studying the language at Highschool/Bachelor level, and for anyone who wants an introduction to the basics of the language.
