Om Susanna
Hello! Nice to meet you, here is a little bit about me...
I am Swedish but live in London, UK, since 2006.
I come from a family that loves to travel and explore different cultures. Although I was born and raised in the Swedish countryside, and love nature and an outdoorsy life, I also love to live and explore the big cities(!), which is also where I spend most of my time.
I have an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden, where I focused on environmental techniques, and an MA in Art and Visual Culture from the University of Westminster in London, UK.
Early on, I discovered my knack for communication and writing, and started my career as a freelance journalist writing about the environment as well as society and culture. After a few years as a freelancer, and having started a corporate career working as a communications professional in London, I decided to broaden my professional field through an MA in Art and Visual Culture course in London. Through this course, I had the opportunity to explore the visual aspects of communications, which is also important in this brand-aware and social media-influenced world.
I have worked primarily in higher education in the UK, but have also worked in the private and not-for-profit sectors. My professional and academic communications expertise comes from my experience working for the following employers:

- The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Association (ABPI)

I am currently a "digital nomad" combining my life in London with travels primarily around the UK and in Europe.
As a Swedish individual, I can help Swedes improve their English skills to feel comfortable in any professional, academic or social situation. I can also help English speakers learn to speak Swedish and help them understand Swedish culture. Lastly, being a nearly globetrotting person fascinated by society and culture, I am happy to help English (and Swedish) improvers from across the globe!

The lessons are conducted on a one-to-one basis and are focused on what you want to achieve.
I will listen to your goals and needs, and together we will set out a workable plan to achieve these.
Your goals could be, for example, to prepare for a study course that is taught in English, in the UK or elsewhere, or to prepare for a new job.
Your needs may be to build your written or oral communication skills to prepare for any professional, academic or social situation. Professionally, this could be writing professional emails, letters, presentations and reports. Academically, this could be to strike a balance between formal academic language and your own voice, enabling you to convey knowledge effectively while maintaining your authorial identity.
Your social needs can be learning to express yourself with ease among natives, using words and phrases that are difficult to learn and put into practice through any other means than by social communication itself!
I am available both online and in person (where I currently travel between the following hubs: London, Stockholm, Norrköping, Linköping, Paris and Montpellier). Availability and price will vary depending on which option you choose.
