Om Kerne
I am a qualified, experienced science teacher from the UK currently studying a masters in Biology at Lund University. I am passionate about teaching and my subject and am able to tailor my teaching to your learning needs. I have a Zoology degree and Qualified Teacher Status (England) and have worked with young people over the last 6 years from school groups in the Indonesian rainforest to skiing lessons in northern Japan. I have worked in schools for the past year in the south of England teaching Physics, Chemistry & Biology to ages 11 - 16. Lessons will be taught in English (Sorry my Swedish isn't there yet). I look forward to working with you!

My approach to science is it should be taught as a skill, not a list of facts to be remembered. Through the use of novel or everyday problems, we can learn how and why something happens, not simply that it does. Taught correctly, science nurtures independence through problem solving and develops an impartial view of the world that allows the pupil to come to their own conclusions. These are the attributes I value the most in my students.
