I am a 40 year old native English speaker living and working full time in Stockholm, Sweden. I am passionate about the English language - spoken and written - in all aspects of life (i.e., academic, business, social, etc). I have also had a successful career in advertising as a writer and creative director - therefore my approach to teaching English and my lessons are fun, visual, memorable, and extremely effective in helping you speak English more fluently and comfortably, at home, socially, or at the office. My rates are extremely competitive, and my lessons are tailored specifically to your unique needs and goals!

Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Objective: Improve conversational fluency, vocabulary, and written expression.
Duration: 1 Hour
First meeting (30 minutes, FREE)
• Personal introductions
• Discuss specific needs and expectations
• Customise a tailored lesson plan, timeline, dates & rate.
Lesson outline:
Introduction (3 minutes)
• Overview of the day’s lesson focus: (for example: “Improving Business Vocabulary & Email Writing”)
Warm-Up (5 minutes)
• Activity: Quick vocabulary quiz (5 multiple-choice questions) related to the lesson topic
• Objective: Activate prior knowledge and set the stage for learning new vocabulary.
Vocabulary Building (10 minutes)
• Activity: Introduce 5-7 new topic-related vocabulary words.
• Display each on-screen.
• Pronounce the word, use it in a sentence, and ask learner to repeat.
• Show a short video clip or image that illustrates the word.
• Objective: Expand vocabulary for business-related discussions and writings.
Guided Practice (15 minutes)
Part 1: Conversation (7 minutes)
• Activity: One-on-one use of the new vocabulary in a simulated conversation.
• Objective: Practice using new vocabulary in context.
Part 2: Written Exercise (8 minutes)
• Activity: Learners draft a brief written communication (4-5 sentences) using at least 3 new vocabulary words.
• Objective: Apply new vocabulary in written format.
Idioms (5 minutes)
• Activity: Introduce 2-3 common idioms used in context of the lesson topic.
• Objective: Improve understanding and use of idiomatic English language in context.
Open Discussion/Q&A (5 minutes)
• Take questions about vocabulary, idioms, or any difficulties learners have.
Homework Assignment (5 minutes)
• Activity: Distribute a handout or assign online exercises related to the lesson topic.
• Objective: Encourage consistent practice and application of skills.
