Being an engineer, I firmly believe in the transformative power of private tutoring, especially when it comes to teaching mathematics to young minds aged 5 to 15. During my one-hour math tutoring sessions, my approach revolves around practicality, engagement, and personalization.
I make math relatable by using real-world examples and everyday objects, ensuring that concepts are not just understood but also applied in meaningful ways. For instance, I've used toys to explain addition and subtraction to 5-year-olds and connected geometry to building design for older students, highlighting the practical applications of mathematics.
Interactive learning is another key element. Through hands-on activities and games, I create a dynamic and enjoyable learning environment. For example, I've used building blocks to teach volume and measurement, turning potentially complex topics into fun and memorable experiences.
