Om Yang
Hi, I'm Yang and I live in Lund. I love languages and am passionate about teaching Chinese. With a background in broadcasting and hosting, I have clear and accurate pronunciation — essential for learning Chinese the right way from the start.
I hold a Master's degree in Media and Communication Studies from Uppsala University and have seven years of experience working with written communication and corporate culture. I'm skilled at adapting to different audiences, whether children or adults.
For me, teaching is about creating a sense of safety and curiosity. I want my students to feel that they can learn Chinese at their own pace — with clear guidance and in a way that feels meaningful to them.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting and Hosting from Shaanxi University of Science and Technology and a Master's degree in Media and Communication Studies from Uppsala University, Sweden. I am certified in Mandarin Chinese at the Level 1B (the second highest level in the national proficiency scale). I have been teaching Mandarin to children aged 6 to 8 for over six months, using a playful and interactive approach to help young learners build their language sense and foundational skills in a fun and engaging way. Previously, during my corporate career, I conducted training sessions for new employees on business writing and corporate culture, which helped me develop clear communication skills and the ability to adapt my teaching style to different audiences. My teaching focuses on standard Mandarin pronunciation and practical language use. I tailor lessons to meet students' needs, whether for everyday conversation or business communication. My strengths lie in my standard pronunciation (grounded in my broadcasting background), solid language skills (honed through seven years of professional writing experience), and my ability to adapt to the different learning needs of children and adults. Lessons are available online or in person in the Lund/Malmö area
