Om Tabassum
I'm Tabassum, an Interaction Design graduate (University of Gothenburg), originally from Bangladesh, now based in Gothenburg. I love to teach people to build things for fun. Same itch, different day.
Too many people get scared off maths, logic, or coding because someone once made them feel slow instead of curious. I'm here to be the opposite: patient, a little playful, genuinely hyped when things land.
I still remember teaching a kid their first "if statement" and watching them realize they'd just told a computer what to do. I've taught math, physics, and ICT to kids in Bangladesh, guided uni students through coding labs, and run D&D campaigns as a game master. Every time, the best part isn't nailing the explanation, it's watching "I don't get this" turn into "wait... I actually get this."

I think the best way to actually "get" something is to play with it, poke at it, and sometimes break it a little so that's basically my whole teaching philosophy.
My techniques:
For coding/IT — I like building small hands-on exercises or mini-projects so things stick through doing, not just memorizing.
For maths/logic — step-by-step breakdowns, visual explanations, real-world comparisons, and lots of practice until it clicks.
For science — connecting concepts to everyday stuff so it doesn't feel abstract.
I check in constantly, if something's not landing, we just switch angles instead of pushing through.
Lesson length:
Usually 60 minutes — enough time to recap, learn something new, and practice.
Happy to do 45 or 90 min too, depending on age and focus.
My background:
BSc in Computer Science (BRAC University),
MSc in Interaction Design (University of Gothenburg/Chalmers),
TA at University of Gothenburg — helped students with software engineering labs and agile projects,
Years of teaching math, physics, and ICT to kids through the Jaago Foundation in Bangladesh (got recognized for it too!).
Game dev background, which honestly makes me pretty good at making "boring" topics fun.
Who I teach:
Kids just starting out with coding or logic,
Teens working on school maths/science,
Adults learning IT/programming from scratch.
Especially love working with beginners or anyone who's felt discouraged by a subject before, confidence-building is half the job.
