Om Debra
I am a comparative Education PhD student. I am a warm, supportive and understanding individual who values effective learning and meaningful research results. I offer thesis and dissertation coaching to undergraduates, graduates and postgraduate students. I also teach English to children, young adults and adults
I take the time to get to know my students, their strengths, struggles, and goals in Language learning, so that I can tailor the lesson to suit their needs. My goal is not simply to teach you English but to help you use the language confidently and effectively in real-life situations.
I also coach you to identify research gaps, navigate the literature review maze, use both qualitative and quantitative research tools efficiently, and help you translate data into a meaningful and impactful dissertation.
If you are ready to improve your English, prepare for an exam, become a more confident communicator, or conduct research effectively, I would be happy to support you in achieving your goals.

The coaching sessions and lessons are personalised to meet each learner’s individual needs, goals, and level. We begin with the learner's strengths, then work towards improving their weak areas. I tend to make the lessons communicative and student-centred as well.
I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching /coaching approach to suit you. I am patient and supportive, and I work with each learner at their own pace until they gain the confidence and proficiency they are aiming for.
We negotiate and plan the lessons/coaching sessions according to the learner's goals; however, I prefer a minimum of 25 minutes per lesson and /or between lesson breaks.
