Om Roxana
My name is Roxana and I am a private English tutor from Spain with a 4-year experience. I have worked with children from different ages and levels. I have a degree in English Linguistics and I am studying the Master's in Language Technology at the University of Gothenburg. My teaching method was developed during my first year of tutoring since the manner in which kids are taught English in Spanish schools is not effective nor the most adequate. The method is simple since it is not based on repeating, but on understanding why English works the way it does, of course, explained in a way which children can comprehend and apply that knowledge in speaking and writing.

The courses are online, via Zoom. The method that I use is effective since it is based on making the students understand how English functions and not based on memorising, which helps with the acquisition of the language. The lectures are usually 1 hour long the course, but they could be extended up to 2 hours if needed. The courses would be in the afternoons - between 16:30 and 19:00-, during week days, exceptionally on week-ends in the morning - from 10:00 to 12:30-. The lectures are mainly directed towards children with ages between 10 and 13, and with levels between A1 and B2.
